A person living deep within
Sitting in a corner tearing at his skin
Always looking for something more
But never knowing just what’s in store
A man asking for forgiveness
Having before tasted true bliss
Knowing that to never feel it again
Would cause his heart great pain
A boy with tears running down his face
Never wanting to live by the pace
Set by the emptiness that is around
Looks for something but nothing is found
A new born baby holding out his hand
Searching the stars for something grand
Will his dream ever come to be
Or will he truly never be free
All these people are one and the same
Living together in a world full of shame.
