"The ten hour itch." by Dr Benway

Desolation rings through the silence,
picking, scratching, burning,
a sickness with no illness,
confessions without sin.

Ten hours, only ten hours...

An ecstasy so glorious,
a greed, with no pity,
innocence lost, and regained
if only for a time,
will it be this time?

Ten hours, only ten hours...

This left me lingering on each word. Every line is enthralling... and I couldn't keeping my mind from pondering deeper and deeper about this. Very interesting. ....-samone

I know what you speak of...in a different chemical form...I think this is my favorite by you so far. I love poems that are written straight from the soul to the paper...
