ring around
the neck
of society
pushing one into the oblivion
of self-ish-worth
taking
pushing
shoving
into the blurred reality
the fine line
between
my sane instanity

my arms have never been so sore
from reaching
reaching for what is expected of me
but is unwarranted

need
the peeling fingernails
scratching at the piled
pages

closed
within the bind
hardbound
cover
of me

the sufficating
plastic

the caustic fumes
the smoke
of today's stale cigarette
with the curled lip of disgust
to put out another escape

return to me
that which is unwarranted
unwanted
and woed

for todays the day
where my cracked lips

dryed from waiting
for the water that never came

are able
to speak
