the body knows
it remembers
the thoughts triggered
by the remembering scent
the remembering twinge
in my lower back
Yea I remember you
coming up to me
peddling pretty lies
pressin me up against your wall
of need
I never asked for your kiss
of deceit
the fifth crawling off of you
and coming on to me
I don’t know how
I got dirt on my knees
or wild burrs in my hair
I just know there was a dance
a dance of despair
as I clung to you for something
that I didn’t even know
and you only saw me
as cherry pie
at a stuff your face contest
that night up in that cold room
I couldn’t sleep
I was worrying about being smothered to death
I was right too
'cause you’d close me in
up against the wall of your bed
with the plugs of your alarm clock stabbing me in the back
pinching my nerves
as you covered me
with your suck-me-dry kiss
unable to move
as you road home on my thigh
yea I remember that smell
Your stink
cologne and cum
every morning
I’d scrub my skin
'till it was raw
hoping to clean off your filth
as it seeped into my soul
