Crumbling concrete of years gone by
Shifting earth of heartache
Floods of tears run dry
But in these last days
of storms blown over
I couldn't be more grounded
because I've fallen into
you
I still stand tall
though I'm quite a few inches shorter
And even though the rain falls down
each

a memory
Its fresh scent
speaks to say
today dawns a new day
to dive into your ocean
and swim in your sea
to lay comfortably on your shore
...waiting...
the sands of time
may erode more and more
but I like the feel
of it
squishing between my toes
as I walk its
l_e_n_g_t_h_s
with you
