My foundation has

e___o___e
___r___d___d

Crumbling concrete of years gone by
Shifting earth of heartache
Floods of tears run dry
But in these last days
of storms blown over
I couldn't be more grounded
because I've fallen into
you
I still stand tall
though I'm quite a few inches shorter
And even though the rain falls down

each
d
__r
____o
______p
a memory

Its fresh scent
speaks to say
today dawns a new day
to dive into your ocean
and swim in your sea
to lay comfortably on your shore

...waiting...

the sands of time
may erode more and more
but I like the feel
of it
squishing between my toes

as I walk its
l_e_n_g_t_h_s

with you

oh, this is just lovely. some very effective formatting, and i particularly liked the "squishing between my toes" part. I like Ani's comment of 'vitality and serenity', so I'll echo that. :) Beautiful.
