I want to touch
the heart divine
to grace the threshold
of a broken doorway
all around me
cloth covered furniture
the cover for so much pain
dusty
but still remain
The creaking of the floorboards
May be my only answer
But I'll take the cover off
that old piano
and play
hoping
I'll see you staring at me
from the stairway...
