Boy Loses Girl

Contented in each other's arms
'You never could resist my charms,'
Lance said to Genivieve, delightedly
"Ah but you were mine from the start!"
Genivieve said in open heart
With love set in her words so tenderly

'How could I avoid such beauty?
Deny my chance at fantasy?'
"Well its fantasy no more my love"
To which Lance said so gleefully
'I'm spoiled in your loving me,
Reality's matched what dreams are made of.'

'You are my love, my light,' he said
And sealed it with a loving kiss
His heart had overcome his dread
And nothing yet had gone amiss

She gladly accepted his kiss
Her tongue was filled with eagerness
To run around inside his lips
And tease the thing below his hips...

As sexual tendencies rose and rose
The contentment of love would never fail
Anticipation was filling the sail
Gushing desire in its various flows
It seemed that nothing would separate those;
The two would go on through wind, sleet, and hail
The train of Love doesn’t often derail
When fate calls a man, he faithfully goes
‘Twas unlikely that fate would split this pair
With their love and their lust combined to the end
The broad-shouldered Lance and Genivieve fair
Meant for each other, the splitting would rend
Holes of nothingness in the worlds they shared
Two broken hearts in reality's bend

So for a time they were content
To suckle, lick, tease, and tickle
In the wanton desire youth brings
Love was the flood, life a mere trickle

Mutual virginity
Insured their naivete
Yet knowledge comes with exploration,
Adventure in the deviation...

And so the days passed, as time tends to do
With the wind of happiness blowing strong
The sands of time continued their fading
And days turned to months with nothing gone wrong
Then Lance bought realty in jealousy
And Genivieve lost her reality
But they rode through all the bumps in the road
They worked with the light; coped with degrading
Loving every last stair of lust they strode
And warming cold nights with their Lover's Truth

When the jealousy of Lance went quiet,
Trust replaced the emotional riot
And his bonds of love were forged anew
There was completeness in this different view
With his mind at rest and his fists at ease
Frustration gone with a southern spring breeze
Lying on the grass with love in his heart
Replacing the taste of jealousy's tart
With her in his arms. The spring quickly passed
Faded to summer, then cold winter's caste

When Genivieve fell out of her despair
She scarred for a time and had to beware
Lance's strength and passion brought her relief
But losing him now would surely bring grief
So scared by such an intuitive thought
She pushed Lance away, not to be caught
In a trap made for two, she was still weak
Until she thought of reality's peak
To be lost in his eyes was her desire
Burning through winter, reality's fire...

As they passed over jolting potholes of their love
The axle was creaking but never was broken
The wheels of the carriage had not yet faltered
The settling steel of their past was still molten
But not for long; The structure they formed would take shape
The foundation was stable and locked into place
But they found out later they had made a mistake
They had built on the faultline of her great disgrace

The fact had made for a shaky relationship
Tremours and more would now drown out the world from sight
Arguments sprouted like the weeds in their garden
It did not matter who was wrong and who was right
Love was persisting but damage was inflicted
And lust was dominating the feelings they had
If they could have read time, they might have been careful
For the bitterest taste to their love it would add....

She arched her back in lustful delight
She loved him so
As she kissed his neck he held her tight
They felt the glow....

Passion filled nights to lustful days
To arguments' heat inbetween
Blood running hot through love's great maze
Their bonds shining with steel's bright gleam
In their passion they lost their sense
Her unwanted fertility
Increased this particular chance
When paired with his virility

And so the child was conceived
Within the womb of an unprepared maiden
Yet coveted by Genevieve
As the product of love, not ever of sin

She wanted to bear him children
But the timing was horrendous
As hail batters a roof of tin
The sound of thought was tremendous
She fretted over the choices,
Refused to eat in depression
Then the return of the voices
Forced her back into repression

Lance too was bombarded with regret
For the timing
But now his mind was painfully set,
The heart crying

Love would have kept the child; logic would dump it
Genivieve was torn inbetween and Lance was cold
His seeming lack of emotion was killing her
She could not see inside him and he never told
They were like mice, paired between the eagle and owl
Hardship either way, they stalled at the forked path
After a time their decision was made for them
And they were just left to deal with the aftermath

The babe was stillborn after family quarrels
An act of violence ignorant of its killing
Punched in the stomach after heated argument
Brought out the small fetus, disturbed and unwilling
A gush of blood and the pain of loss was alive
A life destroyed before it began its journey
Emotional death in the souls of two lovers
Unknowingly judging themselves as unworthy

Lance lost his passion after the event
His darkest sins would not let him repent
Killed and reborn in his condemning lust
Sad and withdrawn and refusing to trust
The blackest night laid rest the pulse of life
The tortured need no longer gratified
The Dark Beast named Death laid waste to his mind
Thoughts all consuming that made his teeth grind
As he dreamed of death taking his conflict
And LadyLove smelling flowers he picked

She slept in denial of her losses
And dreamed up a field of burning crosses
On which she sacrificed her soul to get
Her own happiness; no time limit set
The rape was forgotten, the guilt was gone
She swam in moonlight, awaiting the dawn
The darkest night would keep her well hidden
There, a black coat of torture would blend in
She had little time set to agonise,
Yet she knew her denial would lead to demise

The days slowly churned and sputtered out time
Division of whole made two lonely halves
Genevieve needed her Lover to be
The enduring stone that made up the path
That she so desperately wanted to take
Little did She know that stone has to break
When a seed of hate is planted within
A soul of stone will crack eventually
Given the seed has the water of sin
And the heat of anger with pain combined

As she was forced to stray from the path
Because of the breaking stone that was Lance
Lance’s vacant stare would tell,
Words he came to know so well…

LANCE FAILED- to support his Genivieve
Vacant stares and words just made things worse
As the razor would make her skin bleed
So He wounded her soul in that time

And so the lovers’ fission was complete
Separate in their souls’ deaths and rebirths
As they were healing from various hurts
And shivering from the lack of Love’s heat
In the cold world of their realities
Searching for either the Love or self worth
Not finding much of the previous mirth
Recalling what happens when Boy and Girl meet
Wish they had now what they had at the start
Lacking the wind that had once made them soar
In Life’s Giant play, each took a new part
Now hoping, searching, and praying for more
Each of them anguished and burdened of heart
Life’s heavy hand, on their love, closed the door…..

He met her on the early train
He saw her as she called his name
He heard her voice and felt the cold
Remembering what time had told

The silence was unnatural
“Can I kiss you?”, a painful sound
‘Yes’, he said, uncomfortable
And then his tears would meet the ground

‘I’m ok’ he lied through his teeth
Her heart broke for him, “I’m sorry…”
He went down his road and she went down hers
Their paths would still cross painfully
Their wounds would not close completely
Hardship and darkness was all that occurred

Boy lost girl with kisses and tears
And those would rain still heavily
Upon the road of the life that he led
Remembering the start, he cried
For the loss; the love that had died
Beginning and end, conceived in the bed

When I first stared reading this I thought I might be getting a a new look at the love triangle from King Arthur's tales, but you surprised me. I am impressed and delighted at your ability to untie poem and story in such a great manner.

I like this poem a lot, and I liked how you named these to lovers. It strikes a resemblance to gwenivere and lancelot even if it was unwanted, it sheds light on a gentle foreboding on the plot. Very good.

This narrative is of epic proportion.. it unravels slowly, both vexing.. and voicing itself as clarity and truth. I... am stumbling upon myself.. and perplexed at how perfectly captivating this is.. how tremendous..

..I feel humbled to have such words placed before me.. and to have this memories entwine themselves with my own, as my own.. as if this was my own distant memory.. each line struck a chord with me.. for different reason..

You have moved me to tears.. and these words..I don't want them to stop, just as these words.. I might have begged for them never to end..and I know not what to say to explain how much this touched me.. I believe I'd have to repeat myself to you slowly..

On Monday February 27th, 2006, evolve (2246) writes:
Alas, I will voice a thank you.. and pray its sincerity meets your ears.. because I'm at a complete loss.. to explain how the lessons lie within these words are such that I could never admit to myself. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
