what if what i'm waiting for lays in the palm of your hands,
would you stretch your long warm fingers towards me and lend a hand, or watch as i fall,
would you know as i know, how intoxicated i am, by what you are
my hands fumble as my heart wonders the cruelty of this game
grappling with indecision, would i want to win, or is winning simply losing with your grin

you weave your charm with calm, deriving a smile, i thought i had lost
but now this smile becomes a question mark when you're gone
Your departure has left uneasiness, what you seemed to have filled
has returned to empty, now someone needs to refill my tank of apathy,
i have no money, so i can't afford hope,
walking around aimlessly owning nothing but a twinkle in my eyes, that carry your name.
i'd cry, but i'm buying time, minutes, seconds that flee, once again time making safety a crime.

You smell like comfort, and home, strange, so new, least expected to find it in you
who knew, what i'd do, to smell that again, but then
what know i of riddles or zen, i'm a mess, with confessional faults
making their presence known to all, with each graceless illogical stance.

My eyes avert the hole within your eyes, you whisper answers you lack the questions to
yet the questions lay in me, i bet you never knew, as you still don't know,
You arrived by my side, so naturally striking, my awe consumed itself
with the pretext of watching, yet your voice seared like a distant wound
so profound, it dissolved to transparancy, suddenly coming apart at the seams

But fuck, i left my needle, and thread at home, so i must let it bleed
If this leads to death, then i shall welcome death, as i have letting you through that door
if bliss wore your face, submission reborn on the tip of your finger greeting my nose, leaving me exposed
Brief seconds, i hover, colliding against principles, all my own
so easily thrown away, in craving you, in just being truly known,

the thoughts you sell for a penny, are answers that you've always known
all the treasures in the world, my dear, will never measure to what you've begun to unfold
trust me, for once, i could never be more sure, then this, then you.
you held an answer without meaning, i searched for a question without reason
What do i do with something i desperately sought,
imagination bound to provide more options then the ultimate existence
that results in the culmination of you, of me, of us.

falling completely in love defies all preconceived notions I could ever fathom......from a distance it appears so mangled and painful....but compassion finds the heartbreak sings the beat of rhythm~elisa
