To the superficial and the narcisistic
Nothing about you radiates purity
To the egotistical and the selfish
You bring out the worst in me
Shallowness is your confidence
And perfectionism is your curse
Egos are a dime a dozen quickly spent
Appearance is all that defines your worth
I find humor in your vanity
And in the lies you console yourself with
The mirror's image is your security
Beyond the surface, there's nothing left
It's tempting to interrupt your charade
But vain insecurity is too easy to expose
I'd only be lowering myself to your game
Destroying lives for personal gain is how it goes
You can't lie to yourself forever
The harshness of reality is known to kill
Comfort of beauty will be a lost pleasure
With no one to say who's shoes you'll fill
So get over yourself already
And come off of that ego trip
Before the damage becomes too heavy
Before there's no one left to give a shit
