For so long, I cried alone
Numbing myself to desperation and need
Convinced I deserved to be treated this cold
I punished myself by refusing to bleed

I allowed a few to drink from my tears
I trusted them to guard my pain
Only for them to liven my fears
That I was worthless and they were ashamed

I've lost myself in fits of lunacy
Crying so hard for someone to hold me
Tortured by empty souls that refused me
Praying for death to rid of this aching need

Your love is my guardian angel
Eternal and unconditional
Your embrace is what keeps me stable
When defeat leaves me disabled

You are my one true savior
Before you, I had lost all hope
My will has never been stronger
Your love is all I need to cope

Without speaking, I feel your compassion each day
I hear your encouragement in my mind
I feel our bond growing in every way
Our souls were destined before our time

To be in your pressence is a priviledge
I'm honored to have this piece of your heart
I owe my life to this precious friendship
Thank you for loving me right from the start

You will always be the one I cry for
Only your arms can ease my pain
I can't deny a love like yours
Only you can erase my shame

I refuse to be weak with anyone else
You're the keeper of my tears
If you leave, I'll lose myself
I'll be raped by old fears

Please remain my family
Don't leave me with these open wounds
You're the only one who believes in me
Please be with me in all that I do
