More so than not
I'm thankful for these burdening thoughts
They beat the hell out of me
But they infuse such rabid creativity

I believe I'm blessed with insanity
It is what's been keeping me alive
I fight each day with new uncertainty
The battle fuels my insatiable drive

I'm greatful for my confidence
In knowing that I need no one
In believing only my mind makes sense
Knowing that it's still my life when the day is done

I see my pride as a blessing and not a sin
Values and Convictions are the colors I wear
All that matters is what I have faith in
Conformity and Repression were never there

I'm thankful that I'm not shallow
Appearance is nothing compared to words
I refuse the ones that are holllow
The ones that would rather be "beautiful", than be heard

I owe my life to my words
They are me and I am them
It's only with words that my emotions can be heard
It's only with them that I can rid of the angst
that lives within

You ever notice how some comments can impact you in the way that a poem might?
