I was blind,
Till you opened my eyes.

Now what I see frightens me.
… I wish I were blind once more.

When I was blind,
You were a beautiful sight.
Filling my life with joy,
Reminding me of everything
So lovely.

Now I see you.
Though the “you” I knew
Is now gone.
And you are ugly!

YOU’RE HURTING ME!
LEAVE ME ALONE!
…please.

But no matter where I go
You always follow.
Always right there.
Waiting, with your ugly face,
You’re evil eyes!

Trying to prove
I am what I see in you.
You are what you see in me.
Because you’re…

A mirror…

(I’m so afraid)

the monster in our lives is often our own reflection, in one way or another... it is still disconcerting to realize it, though...

to see inside of ourselves to who we are sometimes is a rude awakening even when the image in the mirror appears made up and beautiful?!
