Why couldn't they all see it?
It had always been in plain view
Were they in denial?
Or did they think she was lying
Why would she spend time every morning
Drawing these marks on herself
If they weren’t really there
There were more problems to it
She just never said a word
She thought no one would care
The day was soon coming
Much faster than anyone knew
Everything was going to unravel
Timing was going to be everything
So calmly she let it flow
It stopped mattering who would see
All she craved was to get away
Her bruises given by all she knew
Hide in silence and dormant inside
There was more to be revealed
It would not go unseen
Would they mourn her pain?
Or laugh without care
The day was here
Though no one else was
Nobody noticed how her eyes were filled
With such grief, anger, and deceit
Time had come to time
May worst have come to worst
It had been done
But quite recklessly
Is the desired effect there?
Was its worth the pain she caused?
All mourned but only so a moment
They didn’t know her
Which was here greatest fear
She would never get her time of life back
She never wanted it more then
Than she had her whole life
Everything she had worked for
Was falling in her face
Soon it would be cold
Warmth can only last so long
As long as she felt loved.
