don't mess with the spider's web
they'll wrap you up
they'll kill you dead
the best of tricks are writ in thread
that's what the spider said...
but all his eyes were red

there's just no comfort in conviction
it's said to always kill the cat
well, curiousity is a strange affliction
picking off little kittens like that

never open a stranger's closet door
if you hear it knock
please try to ignore
a sound that's better missed, for sure
is the rock of skeletons back and forth
making music against the floor

i've always been one to wander
about in this world of woe and wonder
but there will be much less to ponder
after you are six feet under

don't mess with the spider's web
they are dreamcatchers spun
out of dew and lead
so unless you want nightmares in your bed
you'd do best to keep your head...
and make sure the spiders are well-fed

I love your flow; its not forced, and you masterfully possess the reader with beautiful images. " its said to always kill the cat." I love that. Theres so much said, that is unsaid.

I could hear this to a hip hop beat, rather, uttered by one of the few remaining street-poets, rather than those fame put on the board. Nice fable with a deeper meaning... makes me wish I had talent to compare.

Slightly poe-esque hip hoppish word grinding? Nice.

Intriguing and kind of eerie. Had to re-read a couple of times. 2nd stanza is killer. Gotta dig the tone and originality - read to me something like a dark fable. cool stuff.

Your wordplay always makes me wish I could do that. You're incredible word manipulation shows in this. You rock dear, hard.
