My blinds are open
I stare outside and watch the rain fall from the sky
My loneliness creates these days in my head
Nothing but cloudy
Dark skies
Pouring rain
Tears are some signs of it
Curling up in a ball as dark and cloudy skies form
Tears rolling down my face like a raging storm
Pain strikes like lightning
Screaming as loud as thunder
My heart breaks as the winds become stronger and tear it apart
As the storm continues on
It becomes stronger
Tears turn into a downpour
The pain hurts so much more
The screams become so much louder
The wind tears through my heart like a weak and defenseless tree
Tearing it out of it’s soil and throwing it around
Like it were nothing at all
You think it would be easy to shelter from the such a storm
Nothing could be harder
It has been like this for some time now
When will it stop
I do not know
With the way the storm has been
It only gets worse and worse
I haven’t seen the sun in a long time
It’s nothing more than a distant memory
You like the rain
Then welcome to my nightmare
Welcome to my storm

Oh, how I love storms...they make my heart pound...but contradict the make of my soul, therefore transcending me and terrifying me...thank you for the journey.

Very beautiful metaphor of your inner pain. I loved it, tho the pain expressed is heart-rendering. Good write. ~ Asheai
