Once upon a midnight dreary,
Eyes blood shot, soul worn weary,
Wished I could hold you close to me,
Pull you closer so you might see,
All my deamons roaming free.
Come visit the trueths that fight and hide,
And see my blood pouring down all sides,
Out of the pan and into the fire, just a balancing act on a small wire.
One look at you awakens all my desires,
Once again turning all my coals to fire,
And pulling my soul from life's little mire.
But, alas! I admire you from afar,
Imprisoned in my self-implaced jar,
Hiding from society,
Safely behind lock and key.
Until I saw you that is,
Now I wonder why I wished for this,
Before we met life was such bliss,
I don't live now, I simply exist.
Dreaming.....
Wishing....
Waning....
For just one kiss
