You're so brutally kind
Leave all of your futile thoughts behind
For now on we're running blind
Backwards through the paths that wind
Don't forget to remind
Paint the naked walls of my vacant mind
Never stop to read the sign
Look above and below the line
It'll all be lost and forgotten in time

Dig up the dreams that die
They'll all pass through the twilight of my eye
Projected in the sky
Left there for the world to buy
Smile and wave goodbye
Look into my mirror and sigh
The world is passing you by
So sit in your corner and cry
Till your tears run dry
Just don't ever ask me why

I'm just a fountain of useless, misguided information
I can't help with confirmation
It's up to you to fight temptation
So take an extended vacation
You've got to find a new sensation

I'm sorry to hear about your care free nirvana's eviction
And the injustice of your conviction
We can't all tell facts from fiction
Don't you know you can't beat addiction

And I can't wait till the end
Freely dancin' like the wind
I'm not so frightened to hope and pray to live again
I'm still waiting for my own life to begin

If I could catch the air in the palm of my hand...
If my legs weren't asleep, I'd stand
If we could only understand
Gold is no more precious than sand
Maybe we'd find peace in mind, heart, and soul
We could patch up that hole
If you fit the part, why not play the role
And give back all the hearts you stole
And your eyes begin to roll
As age begins to take it's toll
And your smile fades into the shadows of broken dying dreams
Everything is so much more than it seems
Life is just one big joke
On thy own words thou shall surely choke

I will not feed the hunger that bores into my mind
My tighty secure thoughts unwind
In the chaos within the temple destroys my senses and I go blind
And the nirvana I set out to isn't that easy to obtain let alone find
But for a moment and only a moment it loosens the ties that forver bind
I have no choose but to leave that all behind

I'm out of my mind and my dreams are far far out of sight
I choose not to fight
And not cause I don't feel it's right
I just live on the slim possibility that everything will be all right
And i missed my chance the other night
For a one way ticket on a midnight flight

So I'll sit in my corner all alone
Restless, waiting by the phone
Waiting for that one call
If it even ever comes at all

Soon thy inner thoughts will be known
And thy own true feeling will be shown
Thy fate is thy own
Into the fading oblivion it is thrown
In pain I'll forever moan
And in my mind haunting memories will forever play on
My mind below and beyond
And the thought is gone

Wow - this would be a cool spoken word piece. Hard to rhyme so many lines one right after the other. Great write.
