Oh, what have you seen, my wandering eye
Oh, what have you seen, my long lost soul
I saw a man carrying a bucket
With his own severed head in it
I saw faceless, nameless, sinners drowning their own tears
I heard angels laughing as their cries blared
I have seen a field full of fallen soldiers
I saw a fountain of blood that kept on flowing forever
I seen children living under the sidewalks and streets
I have felt death’s touch and lived to tell
I walked backwards into the gates of hell
I saw an old man surrounded by hungry jackals
I saw a martyr in chains and shackles
I’ve came across from a far
I have seen the birth and death of a star
Oh, where did you go, my dearest love
Oh, where did you go, my adolescent fears
Been hitchhiking out west
Been in eternal rest
Been around and away
Been hoping and praying to find my way
Been in the center of the sun
And as long as I remember I’ve been on the run
Oh, what are you running from, my loyal shadow
Oh, what are you running from, my tired feet
Away from cries and screams
Away from sleep and dreams
Away from a world of hate
Away from my impending fate
Away from you and yours
Away from the sea swept shores
Away from angry mountains
Away from misery and pain
Away from the truth and lies
Away from watching eyes
Oh, what will become of you, my wasted life
Oh, what will become of you, my rotting flesh
I will roam an endless desert in search of lost names
I will burn and smoldered forever in flames
I will watch as humanity dies
I will watch as fire falls from the skies
My only wish
May we all perish
May we all fade into oblivion

Wow. Lots of very noir-ish pictures playing through my head, but this is far from noir-ishly subtle. I sense anger, sadness, loss. Great contribution. Write on.
