i opened the
curtains
of my
lonely bedroom
windows
to share the
empty space
with the
setting
summer sun

[you always
told me
to come out
from my
dark corners]

with widows
open wide
i sang to you,
poured out
my soul
to you
through a
well-remembered
chorus...

["...when you cried i
wiped away all of your tears
when you'd scream i'd
fight away all of you fears
and i held your hand
through all of these years
and you still have
all of me..."]

Your words were better than the quote. Very well done.
