closer

i hold you in my eyes and
my heart breaks a little more each time
but with every new splinter
i come increasingly closer to reality
every step is one more move towards the goal-
completion.
i hold you in my sight and
day by day i grow stonger.
with a new realization i've let this all go-
i must be broken to be whole
