lying naked
in my
cozy
lonely
bed is just
another reminder
of how
far way
you are
and i try to
strip myself
of this
weakness
as easily as
yesderday's jeans
[and the sky turns grey]
we are what
we have
always been
looking for;
imperfect,
but the pieces
fit.
how unfair is
the timing
that
binds us
and
divides us.
and i can
hear you
say:
"but darlin',
life's not fair"
[and the rain clouds thicken]
but
lying naked
in my
comforitable
uncomforting
bed is just
another reminder
that
tomorrow
is one day
closer
and time
will not always
divide
and i take comfort in this
[and the sky fades to blue]
with a smile
spread wide
across my
sleepy
countenance
i curl up
in my
cozy
loney
bed
with only
dreams
of you.
[it won't be raining tomorrow]
