Flawless seeds planted
By cruel, inhumane hosts,
A parasite to feed
An unexpected ghost.

Ripping apart and tearing
The flesh to the bone,
Only to cancel a curve,
Still, no one's home.

If we try to measure
A dream without a taste,
We'll only be deserving
Of every horror we face.

A heart fails to beat
A mouth to extend up
Pretty is meaningless
When there's nothing left to touch.

Without a thought of our own
We leave each other raw
A severed head, a loss
That no one can recall.

A tired voice remains,
An echo no one hears,
It's hard to see the beauty
Through all the pain and tears.
