***
Where doubts reside...
Answers hide
***
The walls weep darkness
In the House of Ill Shadows
In a mewling of secrets
Shed soft in despair
As angels give birth...
to demons
And demons give life...
to death
And death gives purpose...
to silence
And silence gives evil the power to reign
***
But where darkness weeps...
Silence sleeps
***
The souls scream breathless
In their Tomb of Shrill Echoes
With a bawling of anger
Inciting the air
As angels turn shame...
to hungers
And hungers turn wings...
to dust
And dust turns flesh...
to blood
And blood turns colder and weakened with pain
***
But where echoes scream...
Demons dream
***
The lost die nameless
In the Land of Still Meadows
Where their mem’ries ravage
Tranquility’s lair
As angels use light...
For shadows
And shadows use words...
As truth
And truths use fate
As faith
And faiths use reverence to open the vein
***
And where hopeless die
Prophet’s lie
...and the House of Ill Shadows
–remains
