The fires burn dark in the pit of the damned
Where the hour of dawn is well hidden
A torturous abyss of sweltering bliss
Where silence is forbidden

The screams rise high in this dungeon of souls
'Neath the cackling lips of Eurynomous
With symphony of pain and tormented refrain
In a perfect meter of promise

The shadows fall hard on all labor of sins
From the anguish of demons divided
Their suffering echoes of punishment due
Through the cavern, evil provided

The dying live long, and the dead forever
In the rhythm of pale horses ridden
And be he demon or man, since time began
All silence is forbidden

holy crapola, you rhymed Euronymous and it didn't feel forced. This is great; I can see it in oversize book format, illustrated a la Gustav Dore.

Oh my . . I am beyond impressed. This is utterly elevated, a transcendent art of some other form. The first stanza was an unflinching invitation . . and it did not cease to amaze me as I read in sincere admiration. Curiously haunting. ~ Rose.

Thank you all. Eurynomous is the demon of death.

heheh...such is my musical taste that the first thing I thought of was the band Mayhem... But I knew the association aside from that. Either way, I liked it. >:)
