Drowning in a world of water
Each raindrop adds to my pain
They're falling to my grave
They're falling in a haze -
A mist before my eyes,
This is what it's like to be blind.
The pain between my eyes
There can be no disguise
I've lost it all to confusion
I think I'm going mad.
Each drop adds a burden
A weight on the wall before it breaks,
Crashing down with the added stress
of a million little drops.
Too much for one to take,
The hold on sanity will break
And the waters will close over my head
With only the fall of rain
Silently pattering on the pool of calm waters
as I gasp for the breath that defies me.
