With a touch of your hand,
You swept depression away.
With a kiss of your lips,
You stopped tears in their tracks.
With a look in your eye,
You melted my frozen heart.

You left me vulnerable and quaking,
Only to dispell my fears
With an outstretched hand -
A hand which to guide me,
To show me true happiness,
To lift me lovingly from hell
And place me on my own two feet.

Not like an angel did you come to me,
But like a warrior -
With the strength to fight my demons,
The courage to withstand my true self,
And the fortitude to never leave.
And so in the end you won the battle
Over my guarded heart.
