I remember how you once told me
That my smiles were so lovely.
I blushed and shrugged embarrasingly
And you let the matter drop.
But I have to tell you now the truth -
That my smiles are only for your eyes.
You bring out the sunshine in the darkest nights
And fill me with a warmth of a thousand suns.
You sweep away all my depression
The moment I lay eyes on you.
But when you leave it's like an eclipse,
The sun's light murdered by the night.
And lonely tears and aching sobs
Shatter my smiles every time you go.
Leaving me broken and needing
And my heart bleeding.
