My time on earth was short and sweet
There were so many people I didn't get a chance to meet
I was going to be famous, did'nt you know
But I guess that's the way life goes
It happened so fast that horrible night
You wanted to race, so I held on tight
You must feel bad because I died
Tell me, was it worth your pride?
If you would of listened to what I said
I wouldn't be lying in this coffen dead
It's been a year to this very day
You kneal at my grave and begin to pray
I know you wouldn't of raced if you knew
And I hope you know that I forgive you.
