I am not ashamed of where I come from
For there is so many things I have overcome
Give me a minute, let me explain
Some of the things that would make you insane
The drinking, the druging, the times spent in jail
These are the things I remember well
The bullets, the knifes, the sounds that they make
It's enough to make me shutter as I quake
Looking back at my childhood now I see
Life is precious, wouldn't you agree?
