The world is alive with
brilliant colors
I try to blend in
but I'm not like the others

My heart once lively, vibrant and red
Now feels cold, life less and dead

I want to enjoy life: the here and now
but death is all around me and I don't know how

my cries won't stop
the pain won't end
my soul is numb
my heart won't mend

Lovely and simple. Seems as if it ends sort of abruptly. But i kind of like it that way.

Thank you all for your comments and criticism..my poetry is constantly evolving. This one doesn't feel complete, but I just put my shit out there and let it evolve with me.

and thats how to learn, amen to that - but don't be afraid to take your time to develop poems.Like children , they don't grasp everything from the get go. Winks* good luck...Col.

straight foward with the rhyme pattern s and choices of words, didn't do enough for me, yes it produces it's melody, but to obviously for me, sorry to say. I admire anyone's will to men though, just make the poems stand out.

living in a weakened state of strength.....gathering pieces of the whole.....curing the cancer of apathy.....i admire your will to mend.

I beleive you just described half the population, so much better than most could for themselves

a painful existance it is to not be able to fix that which is broken. Gather the pieces, reassemble what's left in dedication, and stumble into tomorrow. Life begins when we let it end.... understood and able to relate.

Simple, and beautiful. I just love it.
