If I had feathers
they would be
ruffled.
Luckily I do not
have feathers
and so
they cannot be
ruffled.
And if I had a duffel coat
it would be
warm.
Unfortunately I do not
have a duffel coat
and so
it cannot be
warm.
So if I had no ears
they could not be
heard.
Interestingly I do
have ears
and so
they can be
heard.
But if I did not
have ears
would they
hear
the tree
as it fell?
Logic would suggest
that they
would not
hear
the tree
as it fell
if I did not
have ears.
