used love
came second-hand
worn unwashed
naively living
grinning
in dime-store morals

oh yes, she's out there
in the kiddie pool
tired
like piss-poor desolation
flashing peace signs
into glaucoma eyes
watching lovely detached
words arrive
via fedex

ill-dignity reflects
pooling overstatements
long drawn & drowned
leaving pale
blue lips eternal
kissed in forgiveness
fucked by shame

through bugs
and unbathed hip-hop
she wants to be wanted
and nevertheless
wants it from him
splashing backward
through murky relations
hunting for time
when love was ever enough
