if I got lost on
wind blown paths
leading to mirages of
love oasis’s
could your iron man
love find me?
follow the bread crumbs
of my liquid diet
eating my feelings
for lunch
pungent black love
meets my nose as I make
the wrong right turn
at the bleeding crossroads
leaning tipping
about scarred face

if I got lost under
wind swept suburbs
under section 8 throw rugs
collectors dust
rotting preservatives
could your handicapable
dreams drown me?
flying high
or dead in the water
the merlot is dry
slopping wet cappuccinos
filling cracked lips
stretched through
fantasy smiles
gruesome kisses

if I played life
without it playing me
beating off the wings
fluttering without flight
faltering without fight
could your tight lips
set me free
this note won’t hold
my throat much longer
spinal column scars
tell tales of
carpet runners
rugs thrown out
with the holistic trash

wow. and what words escape from tight lips? "Pungent" ... indeed. I can see the test, a slipping away, its beautifully feminine... makes me want to rise to the challenge.
