you paint your
self sacrifice
as if i'm deaf
to my failure.

you retrace your
out-of-the-way steps
as if i
gave you directions.

you unbandage your
blisters
as if
i cannot taste your pain.

you offer your
sapping hand
as if i believe
it will never drip
over my head.

you have enough
life has enough
love has enough
on me.against

tire too quickly
sleep too soundly
to fight
the riptide in your pocket

effortlessly adrift
swaying in your theme music
un-singing
drowning in your debt.

guilt trip extravaganza. The last line was especially ripe for me, a guilt junkee of many years. Has the ring of truth to it, and falsehood. I really loved this.

I love the opening that was just such a powerful start and keep going the entire way. Simply breath taking.
