this ain't no disco ball
power trip
merri go round
vacation from vinyl reality

is there no shame
for this tirade
of nonsense
so bleakly flung at my feet
barely
breathing
beneath
reinforced nylon toes?
the days drag
by faster tomorrow
when the glowing graves
keep promises
touted by lovers and
leavers
to wallow in guilt
poured by eyes accustom
to sleep driven by dreams of escape
through hatches
carved by remorse.
never eager enough
never up to code.
your guilt
your regret
decompensates for
lack
of raw motivation.
