waterproof sealant over puncture wounds
disintegrate into sleepless nights
voices excitedly whisper into
swimmer?s ear freshly cured
nightmare memories inch across
thresholds without fear of banishment
tremors plead for embraces that won't
break each fragile ornament
boots pound on colors
devoid of definitive lines or ends
painfully obvious sunrises filled with
pointless stares of inescapable minutes
threats of painless days and new beginnings
slip into intangible fulfillment
reality and clarity drown their sorrows
with hypothetical ignorance
peace and healing steal
the last swig of saving grace
promises left to face the consequences
of making it all better, better than...
