I hear it in your voice,
A dreamers lullaby,
that takes me drifting from this place...
A lovers sweet illusion
to carefully embrace.
A butterflies weakness,
in my heatful crush.

In my future life,
I must say I love you,
My dear one, Oh how I love you.
But that is just fantasy.
I am in love with someone else.

Yet, let me wipe away your tears,
because I see it in your eyes,
A picture painted just for me,
that makes me wish for other things.
A quiet longing locked away.
To be admired some other day.

Oh what distress!!

You are everything I want,
but my heart tells me,
you are not enough...
So in whispers in the moonlight,
I have to say with no little distaste,
goodbye..
