skinned knees and ink etched epitaphs

~ Sin ~

somewhere between these fake smiles
and broken wings
youll find me

hell bent
on dirt stained knees
fingers digging in
caked with sin

all pretty words
with no substance to feed them
but dreams

modest grace
with innocent eyes
yet nothing is ever
as it seems

lips clenched
while screaming
for a deeper meaning
something more substantial
than these tears
spread out on paper fantasies
and prismatic prayers

destinies whore
dressed in silk wrapped sorrow
and i lost myself
somewhere along the way

yet somewhere buried
between this dirt
and these
ink etched epitaphs
of fallen stars
youll find me

seemed to be very sore; as though someone else lurks beneath the surface of the Midnight Seraphim (as you were then), the language selected I find really relative and yet not plain or dull....excellent precise metaphorical usage...profound poem

Very nice. Well thought, and conveyed. The sixth and seventh stanzas stand out triuphantly, but only with the solid foundation of the previous five. A pleasure to read. +T.P.U+

"destinies whore dressed in silk wrapped sorrow"...what a magnificant piece...the detail is to die for...creates such vivid, wicked imagery...so sharp...cuts through the skin...makes the heart bleed...a pillar of pain.
