The look on a little girl's face
forces me to reevaluate what I've said.
You know they're listening.
You know they're watching.

Like slugs they leave a ungrateful slime
Over everything that interests them.
Now I'm covered in slime,
and they dont want me any more.

I don't feel traped anymore.
I feel crusted in a castle of their snot.
They dont realize they're like allergies.
Just here at an inconvienient time.

You have a style all your own. This was great. I love the title and the flow.

I could easily find the truth in this, as it brought a smile to my lips...a refreshing read, as always. I don't quite find it to be humorous so much as rich with thought. I could easily take this work into metaphorical wonderland. Thank you. =)

I can agree with the subject of this poem, moreso on my worst of days. I really like the slug analogy.
