A misunderstanding, has ruined, the relationship we had.

I'm sorry, it came to this, I can put it in the past.

No apologies, are wanted, I'd just like to hear your voice.

Our friendship, though short lived, seemed like something that should last.

I know things will never be, the way the were before,
I just want to know, that you aren't angry anymore,
I would love to hear your voice, and the accent I adore,
I will have to admit, that I have never closed my door.

Lately, I'm feeling, like I've lost something quite dear.

I hope you, will decide, that our friendship should go on.

Even you, can't deny, that there wasn't something there.

I understand, this clearly, now that the romance is gone
