In the way he looks at me I always seem to blunder
Every time speaks he to me, my heart will pound like thunder
And at a glance, my mind will spin and leave me asunder
That in the sparkle of his eye, he sees me as a wonder

He keeps the trappings of my heart and never seems to notice
That in his gaze I often find the desperate fleeting moments
Crystal clear and then ashen gray is how I must appear
For in the proceedings of the day my images wanes to sheer

His smile shows the ivory that is so very rare
And in his heavy chest, his every breath a care
And he sighs with lonesome thougths as I slowly walk way
Does he even know I know the feelings we have are the same
