I look to myself as the person to blame.
In my father's eyes I'm the bringer of shame.
My horrible secrets I must never tell.
Out of my father's heart I permanently fell.
With him my life will never be shared.
I'm his daughter and he never cared.
Memories of my childhood are rarely fun.
I cry every night, "What could I have done?"
I was consumed with anger and sick with fear.
The last time I would see him was all too near.
In my ears his angry voice blared.
I'm his daughter and he never cared.
I'm an adult now, and he's still not around.
To my failures I'll be forever bound.
I live my life consumed by hate.
Not having a father is my fate.
After all the hardship and turmoil I've bared.
The worst is; I'm his daughter and he never cared.
