I’m afraid to close my eyes
For fear of what I’ll see
I’m afraid to hand myself over
For fear of what I’ll dream
So here I lie
Eyes so wide
And it’s been this bad all week
I’m actually scared
Terrified
So badly that my breath is
Quickening
You reentered quite swiftly
But I don’t think you’re the cause
These days these fears have been building
And they’re worthy of applause
I’m scared & lonesome
How are you hanging in?
We haven’t discussed it but I’m
Sure your lives just as grim
As hope it only seems to
Grow dim
