It’s hard to get passed
Your shadow has followed me now
For years
Just when I think I’ve broke through
I get reminded of you
Maybe you really are
The soul mate I imagined you to be
I just really am sick of
Being so a part
It’s hard to move on
When I used to know so much love
Or did I make it up?
Maybe it never was what it seemed
I still can’t help but remember
The last three words you said to me
I love you, and I hate to admit
I might have felt differently
It’s hard to recall
Ever knowing your name and smile
I’m sure I’ll forget you soon
But I’m not sure if I’m ready to
