Off I go to my bed,
Where I'll attempt to get some sleep.
I get under the covers and close my eyes,
But I begin to hear a succession of beeps.
"What's that sound," I say to myself,
It sounds so familiar, oh I know what it is!
My god damn brother is still online,
I swear, these walls are paper thin!
I grumble to the myself and get out of bed,
To tell him to turn off volume.
I finally get him to listen to me,
And then I stumble back into my room.
Oh shit! I still have homework left!
I get out of bed and turn on the light.
I quickly scribble words onto my paper,
In hopes of sleeping the rest of night.
I get back in bed and try to relax,
Oh damn, my mom left the window open.
The room has got to be twenty below,
And I can hear all those god damn crickets chirping.
I look over at the clock, it's 2:43,
Oh fuck, I have to wake up in 4 hours.
Why can't I just fall asleep,
And to top it off, I forgot to shower.
I might as well just give up now,
I just can't take it anymore, I quit.
I need to wake up in 2 hours anyway,
For now and forever, to hell with it.
