The air is warm with frozen breath,
Our eyes cradle youth
With all of their might.
The snow illuminates the midnight sky
And reflected in your glasses
Are the houses, alight.
We run as if the world is flat
And anticipate our thrust
Into endless space.
Our hands are cold, but I feel so warm
As the snowflakes dance
Across my face.
You run so fast, but you pull me along
And I feel like I’m flying
Head first into you.
I feel so enlivened,
And I feel like myself—
A feeling so brand new.

'And I feel like myself- a feeling so brand new.' -- nicely ended. True love is the love that can accept you without the masks.
