My love stories are like candles
They always end the same
Some are longer some are shorter
The candle wins the game
The glow feels just like the fire
The fire in my heart
But the flame withers and dies out
I knew that from the start
When the wax it melts and drips down
Down to it's very base
It feels like I've lost the battle
Oh, How can I save face
Time has come for me my lover
To slowly fade away
And now in my darkest hour
The sorrow rules the day
There are many candles out there
And none that bear my name
A few candles burn forever
For me they end the same
