"A ticket, please..." by diavolessa

the night falls silent over this city
over letters of a widow looking for love
“A ticket, please – one way, please,”
On the platform a stranger will waive

“A ticket, please for the first train,”
for the one that parts with dreams
when the sun opens his unwashed eyes
after last nights orgy with a bunch of moons

“A ticket, please for whoknowswhere,”
where desire turns into a slut
with short skirts and showing skin
where passion dies in icy flames

This is it, I’ll leave, don’t try to stop me
won’t keep me up at night thinking
close your eyes, sleep peaceful
over the raped silence of time

I like the flow and imagry of this one - my favourite lines are "“A ticket, please for the first train,” for the one that parts with dreams when the sun opens his unwashed eyes". Very nice!
