All her life she'd seen the world
Through the eyes of the belittled.
They ran over her and knocked her off her feet.
But a glimpse of freedom created
A changing of perspective,
And now her world will never be the same.
But still they try to push her down.
The road lies rough beyond her,
Yet she has the stength to stand up tall.
Former captors lost the war,
And she stole the advantage,
And so she'll win whatever war may come.
