Eroded – Pain lies permeated,
Corroding the self that exists,
Promises of release reflected
Down the bloody splintered wrists.

Fractured – the memories bleed
On to the flesh, bruised and torn,
Cradling the pristine dreams
Slaughtered, yet never born.

Displaced – malice now parades
Cherished in the disguised vial,
Protected in the silhouettes
Of the enshrouded denial.

Wasted – the fragile self crumbles,
Deafened by razor blade screams,
Impetus of the vortex transcends
Through the serene opiate dreams....

"Deafened by razor blade screams." I'm hearing them now. I'll shut off my hearing aids. "Through the serene opiate dreams." I'm reminded of my father's travels in Vietnam & Hong Kong. Difficult, but enjoyable. ~Shane~
